My name is Colin Schoenemann, and I am a Houston based artist. I work in many mediums and have a wide range of subject matter and inspirations. One of my main inspirations is Houston itself. Such a diverse city provides so much to admire, starting with Houston&rsquo;s vibrant culture including music, art, and sports, to broader, pop culture at large. I have planned, created, and facilitated many large scale, public projects, as well as many private commissions for fans and collectors. I have also participated in many public events in and around Houston, as well as other parts of Texas.I am capable of site-specific design, as well as incorporating local historic significance in these pieces. Part of my process is full emersion, in the music, culture, history and influences of the subject. The initial stages start with intensive research and analysis to build a framework on which to build the design. Another facet of this design process includes reviewing cultural and historical significance of the area the Mural would be created. This process allows for a coherent design incorporating local history, culture, and original artworks to convey the story of the neighborhood. &nbsp;Through a mix of these processes and information, I will produce a Mural that tells an in-depth story to those familiar with the area, while still conveying a quick version of the story to passersby, hopefully intriguing them to learn more.
