Athena Melton takes inspiration from nature to create whimsical, imagined landscapes and spaces. Born in Houston and raised in Deer Park, TX she began her “artistic wanderings” at 21. Through her moves and road trips across the American West, she developed a love of nature that inspired her to begin creating murals, mixed media paintings and digital works. Her style developed from her traditional fine art studies, love of modern illustration and retro design. Currently, she is back in her hometown exploring the landscapes of Southeast Texas and the offerings of Houston.
