Annette Palmer is a visual artist originally from Scotland. Moving overseas in 1997 to the US, then to The Far East, Middle East and returning to Houston, Texas in 2006 where she now considers home.Annette work is something most of us can relate to, she pulls from the innermost feelings of being at the other side of a vast expanse, and the means we have to keep up with loved ones on the other side, a natural phenomenon in today’s transient societyHer emotional land and seascapes exploring distance, connectivity and forgotten means of communication presented in a fusion of paint and experimental textures with elements of collage work, sometimes sewn into the paintings, entice the viewer to dive in and stay a while.
